Since 2014, driven in particular by Stéphane Raël, François Lapicque, and Caroline Bonnet, who leads the project, 25 faculty researchers from six laboratories at the University of Lorraine (LRGP, BETA, CRAN, GREEN, LORIA, and PErSEUs) have been working to develop a prototype for a lightweight, clean, and energy- as well as cost-efficient vehicle for urban and suburban travel: the Hy2Car project (Hybridized Hydrogen Car).
